FAQ’s

When should I apply?

You can apply as early as pregnancy, but we will offer places up to a year ahead of your child starting nursery.

When can I visit the nursery?

We are oversubscribed and offer tours only if there is a possible place for your child. We will get in touch when we process your application.

When will I hear from you?

For babies and toddlers, there is a waiting pool that we process in March and September every year. For a preschool place, you should hear from us 1-4 weeks after you’ve paid the application fee.

When do I pay the application fee?

If we are processing enrollment when you apply, we will send an invoice for the £35 application fee within a few days. If you apply in between enrollment periods we will send an invoice at the next processing period, i.e. March or September.

What is your process?

We will seek to fill places opening up to a year ahead, matching places to applications. Please make sure your application reflects your requirements. If there is a possible place, we’ll arrange a tour or visit. If you would like to proceed after your visit, please let us know within 7 days.

What is your admissions criteria?

We prioritise siblings; care-experienced children; children who attended Montessori before; and children of critical workers.

What happens during a preschool visit?

One parent/guardian attends with the child. We give you a tour of the classrooms and garden, and get to know your child a bit. She or he can interact with the people and environment and we can answer your preschool-related questions and tell you about our ethos.

What if you cannot fit in my child?

If we are not able to find a spot for your child we’ll try again in the next processing period, unless you tell us otherwise in the waiting pool update form. Look out for the emails sent out on 1 February and 1 August each year.
